![]() She came for a pregnancy test unsure of what her next step would be. The test result was positive, which was not the result she had hoped for. Due to an injury, she had lost her job and the father of the baby was pushing her to get an abortion. Now what? A Client Advocate listened as she expressed the challenges she faced. After discussing all of her options, the client seemed intent on keeping the baby. However, we encouraged her to have an ultrasound to confirm her pregnancy. A date for the appointment was set and the father was encouraged to attend as well. To the client’s astonishment, she was carrying twins. Twins ran in her family, but it was still quite a shock to see two babies on the ultrasound screen. This seemed to confirm her decision to continue the pregnancy. The Client Advocate encouraged her to see an OB to get prenatal care. In addition, she invited her to attend the Ready on Arrival classes, which she faithfully did. One day she dropped by to tell us that she was having a boy and a girl. It was evident she was delighted with the news, even though the father continued to suggest she abort. She was hospitalized for several months before her due date. The babies were born a month early. A few weeks later she came to pick up her “Mommy Basket” filled with new items for the twins. She was smiling ear to ear. As she left the center she turned to the Client Advocate and said, “Tell everyone at Care Net PRCs, ‘thank you for all you did for me. I wouldn’t have gotten through this without your support!’”

“Abortion is the only option for me” is a statement we often hear at Care Net PRCs.
Such was the case with Natalie*. She was nineteen, in need of a pregnancy test, unsure of how far along in her pregnancy she was and 8 out of 10 on the abortion scale. Natalie had not felt the baby move. However, during the ultrasound she saw her baby’s movement and said, “Wow, it’s moving so much!” Suddenly the baby gave her a big kick, the first she had felt. As the tears began to fall the realization of how far along in her pregnancy she was set in. Despite this she insisted that, “Abortion is the only option for me.” Our nurse asked if she had ever considered placing the baby for adoption. Natalie revealed that she had been adopted from another country. The nurse shared that true choice is never made out of fear but is made out of knowing all the options and investigating them thoroughly. She encouraged Natalie to just call an adoption agency to see what they have to offer. Her parting words were, “It would be good for you to know all the facts.” We received a call from Natalie for the measurements of the baby so she could get an abortion. After several attempts to reach her and offer additional support, she answered the phone. Natalie decided to place her baby for adoption with the help of her Godmother! Without your support, clients like Natalie would most likely have aborted. Now, although emotionally challenging, her baby will be placed in the arms of a couple who can provide the love and care Natalie is not able to give at this time. Please pray for Natalie and her baby. Thank you. *Name changed ![]() At our Warrenton and Manassas Walk for Life, Karen Snuffer shared the story of a woman who came to us determined to have an abortion. Even after seeing twins on the ultrasound screen, her facial expression indicated that she did not want to parent the babies. But when we followed up with her, she had decided to keep her babies, “because there are twins”. God changed her heart through an ultrasound image. He knew, because there were two babies, she would choose life! At our Woodbridge Walk for Life, Kendra (pictured) shared her story of the love and support she received at Care Net PRCs that helped her make healthier relationship decisions and prepared her to parent. She now has a precious baby boy. We are grateful for the 325 people who came out to our 3 Walk sites to publicly support and defend life. We are especially grateful for our Walk for Life Ambassadors, Fundraising Walkers, donors, business sponsors, volunteers and churches. If you were not able to participate in the Walk for Life, please consider giving a gift today to help us reach our $100,000 goal. We are currently at $68,107 and your contribution will provide our clients with LIFE-affirming options, support and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please click below to donate by June 9th. Or mail a check made out to Care Net PRCs to PO Box 2040, Manassas, VA 20108 with "Walk for Life" in the memo line. The funds raised for this year’s Walk for Life will help sustain our current Manassas and Woodbridge Centers, maintaining the base so we can advance towards our next goal of opening a new medical center in Woodbridge. This will allow us to finally offer ultrasound in that community. This technology has rescued many babies lives and spared many hearts the pain of abortion.
We are so grateful for your consideration and support. *Mary came in for a pregnancy test and appeared nervous and upset. She had moved to the US trying to make a living for herself and wanted to finish her schooling. Now, faced with being a single parent, with the father of the baby living in another country and terrified to tell her parents, Mary felt alone and trapped. She wept the entire time she was at the center.
As Mary continued to open up to the Client Advocate (CA) her desperation became more apparent. They began talking about church and her relationship with God. Although she knew abortion was wrong, she could not imagine raising a child on her own. After hearing the Gospel, she felt overwhelmed with shame because she wanted to abort her baby. The CA encouraged Mary to trust God to provide for the future. She explained that her desire to complete her education could still be accomplished, even with a baby. Mary also received information on the programs, services and referrals available to help her be successful. Still feeling overwhelmed by the circumstances, Mary left still considering abortion. A few weeks later the CA was able to reach Mary on a follow up call. To her delight, Mary said she decided to keep her baby. She told her parents and they did not kick her out as she thought they would. When asked what changed her mind she said she realized “the baby deserved to live.” Thank you for helping Mary realize the “possibilities” ahead of her and the precious life within her! *Name has been changed. ![]() When Dilpreet came to Care Net Pregnancy Resource Centers she was struggling with a difficult decision. If she was pregnant, what would she do? Deep down inside she knew that life is a gift, but she found herself considering abortion. It had been nine years since she had her last child and she was not planning on having another one. She thought her days of childbearing were over. The stress kept mounting as she considered starting all over again and supporting another mouth to feed without a job. She read the positive result on the pregnancy test and sat quietly trying to take it all in. The Client Advocate asked if she could share about the programs and services Care Net PRCs offers. Dilpreet’s countenance suddenly began to change. Hearing that, through our Ready on Arrival program, she would be provided the baby items she needed was a huge relief to her. Dilpreet was given an ultrasound to confirm her pregnancy and determine how far along she was. She said, “It gave me peace of mind when I saw the baby on the screen.” That feeling she had when she first came into the center, that life is a gift, was now confirmed. Dilpreet, who has a Hindu background, was not initially interested in hearing about Jesus. However, as she continued participating in group classes, heard the Gospel several times and was prayed for, her feelings began to change. She felt so much love from the volunteers, staff and other clients that, when presented an opportunity, she gave her life to Christ! We were able to provide Dilpreet with many items that she needed for her baby which were tangible expressions of the love of Jesus. But more importantly, she received support, encouragement and a Savior who will always love and provide for her. Dilpreet has been blessed with a beautiful baby girl, whom she adores. She has returned to work and has already witnessed God’s provision in her life. Many times she has expressed to us her appreciation for the prayers that were lifted on her behalf. Thank you for supporting Care Net PRCs. We are grateful for every opportunity to save lives, souls and spare hearts! |
