Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we are currently reassessing the scheduled day of the walk. Once we have a new date set in stone, we will let you know the new date. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
About the Fundraiser
What is the Walk for Life? The Walk for Life is a fundraising walk to raise critical funds for three pro-life ministries in our community. Care Net Pregnancy Resource Centers has held this fun walk in Prince William County and Warrenton for many years, but this year it will be bigger and better than ever. CareNet PRCs has teamed up with Divine Mercy Care and Catholic Charities Pregnancy & Adoption to make this walk the best one yet. Not only will the Walk for Life raise essential funding for these ministries but it will also bear witness to the incredible impact we can have on individuals, families and our communities when we join forces. That is why our theme this year is: We're Better Together!
For more about why this walk matters, check out this video!
Where does the money raised go? Funds raised will be split across the three organizations. Our goal is $150,000. We are each entirely donor supported and receive no federal funding. That’s why we all need this fundraising walk.
When we reach our fundraising goal, Care Net PRCs will reach the growing number of women vulnerable to abortion in a climate increasingly inclined against life. We will be able to give 200 abortion vulnerable woman free ultrasounds so they can see their baby for the first time.
Last year, Divine Mercy Care helped over 200 vulnerable families directly with care from Tepeyac OB/GYN. Hitting our fundraising goal will provide medical and prenatal care for as many as 14 uninsured abortion vulnerable women through Tepeyac OB/GYN and fulfill one full month of Tepeyac's mission.
Catholic Charities Pregnancy and Adoption Support needs a full time Spanish speaking Pregnancy Counselor to meet the growing needs of the Hispanic population in our community. This Counselor will provide clinical counseling and case management to stabilize crisis family situations for expectant parents. This Counselor can reach up to 75 more women/families and stabilize them through this pregnancy counseling program. Hitting our fundraising goal will enable us to hire this essential Counselor!
These three ministries work together to serve abortion vulnerable women and families in our community. We are Better Together!
I’d like to walk for only one ministry instead of all three. Can I do that? We want to honor your support, so you are invited to walk for one particular ministry if you’d like. Please keep in mind that this walk encourages collaboration, and the splitting of our time, talents and treasures three ways. But if you’d like to walk to benefit one ministry in particular, when you register, look for the question: “I’m raising funds for…” The default is the Manassas Walk for Life. The default setting shares funds across the three ministries. You can then pick any of the three ministers to fully support with your funds raised.
To whom should my sponsor make out a check? Please make checks out to Care Net Pregnancy Resource Centers or Care Net PRCs. This is the account where funds are held until they are dispersed between the three ministries.
How long is the walk? The walk is one mile.

How do I register? Click here Then click the “Register” button.
How do I start a team? Click here Then click the “Register” button. Under “My Team Is” click “Add a Team”.
Are there other volunteer opportunities? Yes, contact firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how you can help promote the walk and help with day-of and post-walk activities!
Is there a maximum number of walkers per team? Yes, 20 is the maximum number of registered walkers. We want to make it fair for teams to win incentive prizes. Do you have more than 20 walkers? Well done! Start another team. More teams means more walkers, which means more funds raised for these life-saving ministries?
Should I register my children? Absolutely! All under 17 are free, but children and youth are powerful fundraisers, so sign them up and then cut them loose to raise much-needed funds. We need these young people in this work. They may just be the generation that ends abortion.
I am not able to join the Walk that Day due to my schedule. How can I help? There is room for everyone! If you want to raise funds and walk, you can walk from anywhere! Do a virtual walk with us April 18, wherever you are. What matters is that you help raise funds and that you’re part of the team. We are better with you!
I am not physically able to do a mile walk. Can I be part of the Walk for Life? You can still find a walker to sponsor here. And you can come out and join us the day of the walk. Join the group who will be praying, or cheer on the walkers at the Harris Pavilion.
How do I get flyers, bulletin announcements and other promotional material? If you have other ideas to help us spread the word on the Walk for Life, contact email@example.com
